From a broke shop to Metro Detroit's carpet store.
Jhonny didn't start in flooring. He started in restoration and renovation — rebuilding homes after the worst had happened to them — and learned there that the floor is the part people walk on every day and the part most contractors rush. So he narrowed his focus to flooring, and then to the floor he understood best: carpet.
In 2014 he bought a business that had gone broke, Rite Floor Covering, and rebuilt it from the ground up as Carpet for Less: a shop that measured honestly, stocked deep so it could install tomorrow, and priced like it wanted you back for the next room. It grew into a multi-million-dollar company with two showrooms, two warehouses, and a crew that's stayed for years. Today it carries his name — Jhonny's Carpet for Less — because the phone still rings to him.
The rule that built it hasn't changed: partnership over sales. We'd rather lose a job than pad a bill, and we'd rather tell you the truth about a floor than sell you the expensive one. That's how a broke storefront became the place your neighbors recommend.

Honesty
We don't "do sales." We give honest estimates, honest suggestions, and straightforward product advice — even when the honest answer is the cheaper floor.

We don't say one thing today and take it back tomorrow. Nothing is marketed online that isn't true in the store.

We never pad square footage to inflate a bill. Our estimators are trained by the owner, Jhonny personally reviews every estimate sheet, and our installers follow the plan.
Humanization
We're called Jhonny's because a human answers. AI will never replace the human voice of this brand: no AI-written scripts, no bots answering partner calls, emails, or social inboxes.
